Rationale
Applies to events promoting culture, sports, health and/or education within the Ngāti Kahungunu Ki Heretaunga rohe, or events for the benefit of Te Taiwhenua o Heretaunga (TToH) members.
Purpose
is to tautoko (provide support), Whakahonohono (uplift and support) and whakamana (uphold mana) members of TToH
This application applies to:
Teams who
- Whakapapa directly to Te Taiwhenua o Heretaunga Marae/Hapū
- Are registered members of Te Taiwhenua o Heretaunga / Ngāti Kahungunu Iwi inc. (NKII)
- Not for Profit Ngāti Kahungunu affiliated Community Groups/ Organisations, Marae/Hapū within Heretaunga
- Not for Profit Community Groups/ Organisations whose event provides tangible benefits/outcomes for Ngāti Kahungunu ki Heretaunga
- Are nominated or supported by Marae to receive sponsorship
Criteria:
Sponsorship of up to $1200 for events must:
- Acknowledge Te Taiwhenua o Heretaunga as a sponsor
- Send a written report of the event to Te Taiwhenua o Heretaunga within six (6) weeks of the activity
- Authorise Te Taiwhenua o Heretaunga to publicise, promote and market its involvement in the cultural, sporting or academic activity
Sponsorship of $1200 and over for events must:
- Be held in and inclusive of the Ngāti Kahungunu rohe
- Acknowledge Te Taiwhenua o Heretaunga as a sponsor
- Meet the standards agreed with Te Taiwhenua o Heretaunga for the event and will be considered on the merits of the applications
- Supply a marketing plan and critical deadlines to TToH upon request
- Send a written report of the event to Te Taiwhenua o Heretaunga within six (6) weeks of activity
- Attend the Te Taiwhenua o Heretuanga Annual General Meeting to make a public acknowledgement subsequent to receiving sponsorship and fulfil any other responsibilities agreed upon regarding benefits to Te Taiwhenua o Heretaunga
- Authorise Te Taiwhenua o Heretaunga to publicise, promote and market its involvement in the cultural, sporting or academic activity
Applications close:
Applications are encouraged to submit their applications as early as possible.
Applications must be received prior to the date of the event you want sponsorship for. No retrospective applications will be considered.
